an unhandled exception c0000005 was encountered

Greetings, I have an end user that receives the following error: "An unhandled exception c0000005 was encountered. Business Rules! will not terminate." She has received this error a hand full of times in last couple of years. I plan on installing the Debug version for her, so I can see the...

Re: catastrophic weirdness

John, This happened to my end user twice yesterday. I went almost a month without it happening. I had installed a keylogger on the PC for the user who has experienced this issues the most. I was hoping that this issue may have been cause by a combination of key stokes. However, that doesn't appear t...

Thanks!

Luis and John, I appreciate the help! I plan on migrating from a Netware server to a Windows server this summer. I will look at upgrading to 4.2 or 4.3. John helped me last year get all my 3.9 programs to run on 4.1. However, I’m having issues with printing on 4.1 . I'll be at the conference next mo...

did you have any luck?

John, Did you have any success with any of these solutions? I have an end-user that has been receiving delayed read/write errors. I have BussinesRules! 3.9 (licensing for 4.1) as a volume share on a Netware server. I have tried several things to try to resolve this. I verified all hardware was runni...

firewall or anti-virus software???

For testing purposes, did you try disabling the anti-virus software and the firewall on the client side?

Nevermind

It appears this error is related to Novell server and Windows 7 OS. I upgraded the client to the latest service pack for Novell and now I can't replicate this error.

Thanks,

Ryan

4148 File sharing violation

Greetings everyone, I'm having issues with an open statement, it's indicating that it has a file sharing violation. The end-user receives the error code on line 310. It doesn't happen all the time though. Does anyone have an idea why they might be receiving this error? I thought the “SHR” command wo...

Edit command for 4.15 +

I read the following in the BR manual: In the following example, the program EDIT.BR contains only one line and is currently loaded in memory. The BRCONFIG.SYS file contains the statement: EDITOR "C:\Program Files\JGsoft\EditPadPro\EditPadPro.exe" I was able to edit my 4.17 program with PS...

PSPad with BR version 3.9 and 4.1

Greetings,

I would like to configure PSPad to view/edit my company's BR programs. I'm trying to view a test program for version 4.17. Does anyone know the proper settings/format in PSPad I need to have, to achieve this?

Thanks,

Ryan
