PRINTER NWP [TOP0], "\E&l0E" is in the latest printer.sys file implying that if works, however it obviously doesn't work. Do any margin ESC sequences work? From an older printer.sys file: PRINTER NWP [TMARGIN(XX)], "\E&lXXE" ! set top margin PRINTER NWP [BMARGIN(XX)], &qu...

I have always used my own print routines, some similar to fnsnap, but developed long before fnsnap came into existence.

Can you show me actual code that gets executed?

Thanks for your help

NWP

I cannot seem to get my top margin command to work, all the other stuff such as CPI, LPI, FONT, etc seem to work fine. 00010 open #255: "name=win:/default,recl=2028,replace",display,output 00020 print #255: "[LPP(060)]";"[TOP0]";"[10CPI]";;"this is the to...

keyboard 0019,000D ! 0019 = CTRL-Y = Help I have this statement in brconfig.sys to keep users from accidentally getting into the HELP system (the ctrl key is too close to the shift key, so what is supposed to be a Y, ends up being HELP) Most time the enter will just cause the screen to refresh beacu...

Everyone should buy a copy of SpinRite. It a low-level disk repair program from gibson research. You can buy a new hard drive cheaper than you can buy the software but once you have it you can use it on drive after drive. chkdsk is great but sometimes it just can't fix things. SpinRite doesn't care ...

insert

Under older versions BR, if you pressed the insert key it would toggle back to overtype once you left the field (maybe it required the enter key). Under 4.20 it now is only effected by the INSERT key itself. I know that this is how Windows works, but it is driving my latest update client's users cra...

line drawing with 4.X versions of BR

with GUI ON the line draw characters supported by drawline.bmp and drawsunk.bmp are either too small or too large depending on which GRAPHIC_LINEDRAW option is chosen. Are there morer than 4 GRAPHIC_LINEDRAW options available? Has anyone modified the .bmp files to produce medium sized line draw char...

What's the link to the order page/form to upgrade an existing version of BR

Thanks

Remapping CTRL-P was my 1st thought. Since this is mostly custom code, the client is not willing to pay to have all the code modified, just like they aren't will to pay to change to a GUI interface. They are "perfectly content with the application the way it is, just need a couple of slight mod...

Printscreens in color on a color printer look great. I have a HP inkjet that I use for testing, but ink cartridges are way to expensive to use on a regular basis.

This client only has blank & white lasers, so a grey-scale backgorund is meaningless to them.

PRINTSCREEN GUI does print all 90 characters Most of the users choose to have some sort of color for their background, therefore they get a grayscale backround on their printscreen (wasting lots of toner, but most import in their words " it's not what I normally get") I guess they will hav...

CTRL-P (print screen)

I have a client running br 4.18J in character mode. Due to some enhancements they wanted. I am now opening the display: open #0:"Rows=24,Cols=90, Everthing works fine except for CTRL-P when printing to a HP laser. Only the 1st 80 characters print, truncating the last 10 which has information th...

no matter how you fix it, you will break something & it will not work as it di before.

Document it in BOLD.
