I think that’s an excellent idea Chris. I believe that we could all benefit from a shared open-source code base which we could check out, modify and put back. I imagine that together we could build some awesome utilities that we could all use and share, while not depending upon anyone person t...

i would think that using UNC paths in your drive statements rather than mapping drives would avoid the issue entirely, no? -john On Thu, May 7, 2009 at 12:45 PM, Stephen Koger <steve.koger@m-a-c-s.com ( steve.koger@m-a-c-s.com )> wrote: Yes you should be able to programmatically handle the issues th...

When the error occurs, check the value of SysErr and SysErr$. What do they say? Perhaps rather than mapping drives you should just use the network name (i.e. \\server\resource\dir) and only map with drive statements. I know my dad uses wireless network in my my mom's shop and it works fine for him. ...

Yes that is configurable via an option – I really was more interested in the how to access the old versions of the program stored in the .br/.wb file itself, no worries, just a curiosity. By default .bak files are made, it is supressable via an option (see also option (config)). -john From: br_forum...

Speaking with an old school WB developer I learned that once upon a time a syntax for load similar to Load file.wb -1 Or maybe like Load(-1) file.wb Would load not the last version saved, but the one which was most recently replaced. Can anyone shed any light on this? It’s not documented and I could...

[BR_forum] How do I check the soflow setting?
Unfortunately these functions can not be library functions, because libraries and their calling programs do not share the soflow state. 21480 def fn_soflow_state$*6 ! ss_ 21490 ! this function MUST be local, do not expose it as a library, if you need it it must be copied into the program which is us...

[BR_forum] How do I check the soflow setting?
There are only two states of soflow “On soflow system” and “on soflow ignore” So either of those commads will set it back… I suppose that we could check it like this 00010 dim One$*1 00020 ! on soflow ignore 00030 let One$="too large" soflow TOO_LARGE 00040 print 'currently soflow ignore' ...
