Delayed Write Failure
John,
In our experience, this is usually caused by Anti-Virus software scanning every BR file processed.
Exclude your BR folders from being scanned, and probably the problem goes away, unless you have a hard disk problem.

Server Advice
I would not go with a Celeron processor for a Server. Celeron is code word for a "crippled" real processor. If you have more than 2 users, this server is going to be really slow.
Upgrade to a "real" Intel processor for a few more dollars and save your self the aggrevation.

In my Read Event - I got around this by filling in blank fields with a default value, which maybe incorrect....

John, Linked is useful for having a large transaction file linked to an Employee master file, for example. As I understand it, Linked internally keeps the transactions linked to each other, without having to maintain a sequence number or Next Transaction Address (NTA - from Advanced Computer Systems...

DR - Drop Files and other commands
We use the Free command to delete files instead of Drop.

When I type SYS DIR, I get a DIR of the S:\SUPPORT\WBWIN folder, not the F:\CLSINC it's S:\CLSINC for the client and E:\VOL2\CLSINC for the server. Luis, We resolved this issue by setting up a global.fil and putting in the physical drive mapping to the server c:\macs\vol002 in the file. whenever we ...

Rick's image came through as text in the form of . Is there a way to attach a program to this new forum? I tried last week, and none of the buttons above the message support attaching a file. If I can't send a sample program with the message, and have to send the text of ...
