John,
We need Data hilite to be "ON", so the user experience is consistent across all programs.
I didn't know about the T1, where is that documented?
I will try this and let you know.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my post.

Option 53: Allow mouse positioning inside a field other than the current field. Without this Option clicking anywhere in a non-current active input field will process it as though the field were entered via the arrow keys. I want just the opposite of Option 53. I want the mouse click to act as an ar...

mouse click into input field - 3/fmt(99) vs 3/c 2
BR 4.18i Windows, & Mac versions: Is there any way to control the position of the cursor when clicking into an input field with fmt(99)? When using input field fmt - the mouse pointer position seems to control where the cursor ends up, even if it is only a 2 position field. Clicking into a Chara...

File Open External, Ouput
BR Versions 4.18j, 4.17o and I would suspect 4.2 has the same behaviour. Open External - EOL=CRLF syntax allowed, but doesn't work. Open #110: "NAME=File.dat,REPLACE,RECL=132,EOL=CRLF",External,Output The BR Manual - does not list this Eol=CRLF parameter as being an option for opening Exte...

Susan, In a 3.83 WB version I used rinput fields mat - the enter key was used to signify that they were finished with the screen, which then went into data validation. We used the up arrow, down arrow, tab keys to move to the next field. In full screen processing, I think that the enter key behavior...

Susan, If a record is locked, the wait time is user definable in the open stmt if you override using wait=xx. 5 was just an example, but less than the default of 15 seconds. In my maintenance programs, I always open files to be written with internal, outin. and read the record in with , release - to...

Susan, Straight from the BR Manual: By default, Business Rules fifteen seconds for a locked record to become available before it returns a locked-record error (error code 0061) to the user requesting the second READ. The time to wait for a locked record can be defined in the OPEN statement using the...

John, First a couple of system details: Are you using the client / server version of BR? If a client session was terminated abormally, then the BR session for that user is still running on the server. Have to either goto the server and run task manager, and quit the BR session for that user to clear...
