Re: e
If you really don't ever want BR to overwrite your source programs, then you might consider removing the EDITOR statement from your BRconfig.sys file. I think the best way for us to change BR to address this issue is to support ALIAS commands. We are not adding features to 4.3, but we will put ALIAS...

secure email
Anyone using secure (PGP encrypted email)?
I am trying to use it, but there is a glitch in my setup and I haven't been able to figure it out.
In essence I'm trying to send myself an encrypted email form one account to another.

Re: Screenio Listview Filterlist question
The wiki indicates that /RGB:T indicates a transparent background. I haven't tested that recently: http://brwiki2.brulescorp.com/index.php?title=Attribute_(Screen) Possibly that could be used to red flag something by highlighting it's background instead of setting the font itself to red, and then us...

Re: Screenio Listview Filterlist question
The ATTR parameter of INPUT FIELDS and INPUT SELECT statements can reference named ATTRIBUTE definitions. Named ATTRIBUTE statements can specify a substantial set of attributes including font and foreground and background colors. ATTRIBUTE [names] can be up to 12 characters in length and can be spec...

Re: 2020 BRG Conference - San Antonio NEED YOUR INPUT NOW
A HUGE announcement concerning Business Rules! Please see the attached 2019 Dealer Letter which introduces a whole new way of interacting with BR. Essentially we are moving to a new platform which will pretty much replace the existing command console. Please see the attached letter for details. And ...

Re: 2020 BRG Conference - San Antonio NEED YOUR INPUT NOW
I would like to add to Gabriel's announcement.
I will shortly be issuing an annual support letter that describes a humongous change to BR. It is very exciting and dramatically changes the way programmers interact with BR.
I should have the letter out by this weekend.

Use of Cloud Services
I have run across a hardware/software system that facilitates continuous uptime, in essence supporting processor, memory and disk storage maintenance and upgrades while the system is running. My brother, who has never used the cloud, has the impression that that level of service is offered by cloud ...

Re: FTP
There are some unique characteristics of the current FTP setup. http://ftp.brulescorp.com forwards to the full FTP site in a browser. However just typing ftp.brulescorp.com into a Windows file explorer ends up pointing at a separate abbreviated FTP site with a copy of the latest unofficial BR and a ...

Re: FTP
In theory ftp.brulescorp.com is forwarding to brulescorp.asuscomm.com which forwards to my current FTP IP. I'm just waiting for a week or so to see if everything continues working. If so, then we shouldn't see nay more service interruptions. Except, in a couple of weeks, I will be moving my servers ...

Re: FTP
There is a way to bypass these interruptions. Our router supports dynamic IPs. One reason I didn't know there was a problem is because I use brulescorp.asuscomm.com which is automatically updated by the router. So when you want to access the FTP site you can specify FTP://brulescorp.asuscomm.com and...

Re: FTP
The FTP site has been inaccessible for a few days. The IP has changed and I wasn't aware of it. The FTP.BRULESCORP.COM domain name has been updated and it may take several hours (up to 24 hours)to propagate through the Internet. Meanwhile the FTP site can be reached directly at FTP://24.192.171.137.

Re: Is the Wiki Down?
Greetings everyone. The wiki and forum are back up. The problem I encountered was that I had purchased an extra 30G of storage space a few years back for some projects, and now we no longer needed it. The bluehost control panel for our virtual private server would not let me renew without that drive...
