Check printing and MICR font/ink

Post by Mikhail »

Hello, everyone!

Our company is looking into buying a printer (or printers) to print checks.

We are looking for something capable of about 1000 checks a day. Also interested in MICR font and ink.

Does anyone have suggestions/comments/experiences they'd like to share?

I've been gettin MICR toner from Ganson Engineering in Arizona. Great product and terriffic price for toner cartridges. They also sell new and reconditioned printers at good prices.

We use a devise sold by Progrissive Business Systems, Inc.

The Wycom device requires 2 keys to operate, and may be programmed to handle various situations. For example, it will automatically sign any check under $,$$$.## dollars.

I know that as programmers, we can print a check, and even sign it. but I have never been able to get over the security concerns of a doing so.

With this device, security is physical with an actual key required to print checks.
